Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data JobEye (jobeye.in) stores, what it is used for, who it is shared with, and how long it is kept.
What we store
- Account: email address, a hash of your password (never the password itself), your role (job seeker or employer), whether your email is confirmed, optional two-factor settings and the phone number you give for them, and which Google or LinkedIn login is connected.
- CV and profile: the CV file you upload, the text extracted from it, and the profile fields parsed from it or entered by you (for example name, headline, location, skills, experience, education, languages). Optional fields such as date of birth, nationality, salary expectations and work-permit status are stored only if you provide them.
- Job search activity: the jobs you track in your pipeline, the reasons you give for passing on jobs, and cached match results.
- Employer data: jobs you post and the candidates in your job pipelines.
- Security records: short-lived counters used for rate limiting (keyed by account, email or IP address), one-time codes (stored hashed), and a record of each time you accepted these terms (version and time).
AI processing
JobEye's AI features run on JobEye's own AI server, not on a third-party AI service. To parse your CV, build your target profile, find and rank matches, analyse job fit, write CVs, cover letters and messages, and answer in the coaching chat, text from your CV and profile (and job descriptions) is sent from our web server to that AI server over an encrypted private connection. The AI server is set up not to store this text; it keeps only usage records (which feature was used, how much text, and how long it took). Contact details are not included in matching prompts; your CV text, name and professional history can be. When the AI server is unavailable, JobEye reads CVs and ranks matches with simpler rules on our web server instead. You can avoid AI processing by not uploading a CV and not using the AI features, or by deleting your account.
External job searches
To find external jobs for you, your target job title, location and top skills (not your name or contact details) are sent as search terms to public job sources such as LinkedIn job search and Duunitori, and to SerpApi when it is enabled.
What employers can see
If you register as a job seeker, employers whose jobs your profile matches can see: your name, headline, location (city and country), skills, professional summary, work experience, education, languages, certifications and match score. Employers cannot see your email address, phone number, date of birth, nationality, salary expectations, work-permit status, your CV file, or your private job pipeline and notes.
JobEye does not add people to employer pipelines unless they registered with JobEye themselves and accepted these terms. JobEye does not collect candidate profiles from other websites.
How long we keep data
Your account, profile, CV and related records are kept until you delete your account (Security tab → Delete Account). Deletion removes your profile, stored CV, jobs you posted, pipeline entries and consent records. Rate-limit counters expire on their own. The AI server does not keep the text it processes.
Your choices
- View and correct your profile at any time (Edit Profile).
- Upload a new CV, or delete your account and all associated data.
- Turn on two-factor authentication in the Security tab.
- For any other request about your data, contact contact@infotech.net.in.
Security
Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes, one-time codes are stored hashed and expire after 10 minutes, sessions end when your password changes, and the site is served over HTTPS only.
Changes
When this policy changes materially, the version above changes and you are asked to review and accept it before you continue using JobEye.
